SerialMagic Keys offers an efficient solution for integrating wireless RFID GEN2 UHF, NFC, barcode readers, meters, sensors, scales, and other wireless devices with iOS applications. This compatibility allows for seamless data entry across a variety of functional contexts.

One might wonder why Bluetooth HID (keyboard mode) devices are not the preferred option. The answer lies in the fact that many Bluetooth devices face compatibility issues with iOS; and even when support is available, the respective apps often require updates to function correctly.

For instance, devices such as the idChamp® RFID and NFC readers — including models like NF4, RS4, RS3, 1862, 1128, Allflex RS420, LPR, and GPR+ — are compatible with all iOS applications that accept typed input, exemplified by FileMaker Go. This versatility extends to web and native applications aimed at tasks such as inventory management, cycle counting, asset tracking, book scouting, package tracking, and medical applications. In essence, SerialMagic Keys allows virtually any app to benefit from RFID, NFC, barcode, and sensor capabilities.

The product stands out by supporting a broader range of Bluetooth scanner models than its competitors. This includes devices such as Scanfob®, idChamp®, and BlueSnap caBLE™ Bluetooth to RS232 (BLE) dongles. The Bluetooth CaBLE effectively enables any RS-232 device to interface with iOS.

Additional supported devices include Scanfob® 3002i 2D barcode scanners, Scanfob® 2006 laser barcode scanners, Koamtac KDC Scanners, Socket CHS Scanners, as well as models from 8Qi, Honeywell, Symbol, among others. Moreover, it accommodates Bluetooth UHF GEN2 RFID readers such as Scanfob® Ultra-BB2 and idChamp EUB series.

Users can read and write NDEF data using idChamp® NF4 and RS4 models. The keyboard simulation feature allows for NDEF data submission to any app capable of processing keystrokes.

For high-security applications, the idChamp NF4 and RS4 can read HID Corporate 1000 cards, iClass credentials, Seos credentials, HID Mobile Access BLE credentials, Apple Student IDs, among others.

Writing capabilities are offered for UHF GEN2 EPC and user memory tags through devices like the Scanfob® Ultra-BB2 and idChamp® models. Additionally, measurement functionalities can be integrated using Leica Disto E7100i and E7500i devices; measurements can be posted via keyboard simulation to any app that accepts keystrokes with an option for rounding to simplify usage.

It is important to note that when utilizing the app with non-genuine scanners, a registration code may be required.
